More freedom of choice
You should be able to choose a preferred option from several recommendation algorithms.
Recommendation systems determine which content you see and in what order it appears on your feed or 'for you' page. Very large online platforms must offer at least one option that is not based on profiling. That alternative system should therefore not recommend content based on your online behaviour. If a platform offers several recommendation systems, you should always be able to select and change your preference directly and easily.
